The afghan is made from Caron One Pounder worsted weight acrylic yarn in Midnight Blue and Sunflower (just over 3 pounds of the blue and 2 1/2 of the yellow) to represent the blue and gold of West Virginia University. The entire afghan is worked with two strands of yarn held together, using a size N Crystallite hook. For size reference, the afghan is on a full size bed in the picture.
I wish I could take credit for the clever flannel-plaid pattern, but it was created by a lady on the Crochetville forums. I LOVE the pattern and will definitely be making more of these.
