Here are examples of my work and what you can get for your money.
All prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include shipping.

Covered ball ornaments (start thinking about next year's tree!) - $8 each or 4 for $25 (a great deal!).

Simple scarves - single color (this one is just a multi-colored yarn), with or without fringe, standard 6" wide by 5-6' long, $25.

Hogwarts-inspired scarves, in your choice of house colors, movie-accurate size (9" wide by nearly 8' long) in either the Sorcerer's Stone wide-stripe (shown) or the Prisoner of Azkaban trapped bar stripe, with fringe, $40. (Hogwarts scarves in a standard size - or any standard size scarf in multiple colors - are $30.) (Hogwarts and all things Harry Potter belong to J.K. Rowling of course!)

Simple dice bags - 2 or 3 yarn colors, no embellishments, $25.

Embellished dice bags - 2 or 3 yarn colors, with bead, charm, and/or applique embellishments, $30.
For afghans, the price will vary greatly based on the size, the pattern, and the yarn used. Some ballpark estimates:

Baby afghans - about 36" square, around $30-$40.

Couch throws (perfect for snuggling up to watch TV!) - about 48" by 60" or about 60" square, around $75-$100.

Big Ass Afghans (blanket-sized to cover a bed!) - $150 and up. (Please note that these take a fair amount of time to make, and they are heavy, so they are a little pricier to ship.)
Again, these are all just examples! I can make other things too. If there's something you want but don't see an example of in my gallery, just ask. (As for the possibility of embroidery commissions - nearly any fabric item can be embroidered. You can see samples of my work in my gallery - just note me if you have any interest in having me embroider something for you!)
Payment is due in advance, though for items over $50 I will gladly accept a 50% down payment with the remainder due before the item is shipped. I will not make a single stitch until I have received payment/down payment. Payment by PayPal only, please!
Colors are completely your choice, and I will do all I can to make sure I get as close as possible to the colors you want. It will help me a lot if you can be specific and give me references (like "Coke can red" or "WVU blue and gold"). I will even go as far as to send you a card full of yarn samples in the mail to make sure you're happy with the colors.
Most of the time I work in worsted weight acrylic yarn. The reasons are many - it's inexpensive, it comes in a kabillion colors, and it's easy-care (machine wash and dry). If you have a certain type of yarn in mind, so long as it is some sort of acrylic and/or cotton I can work with it. I cannot work with animal fibers due to my allergies. My home is pet and smoke free and all items will be laundered and dried with allergen-free detergent and drier sheets before shipping
If you are interested in a commission please send me a note so we can hash out the details. If you have any questions that I haven't answered here just leave a comment or send me a note.

Devious Comments
Have you considered making some in red, white & blue ..using the same idea as the Hogwart's ones?
I have thought about ordering one in Clare colors (blue & gold) but things are a bit unsettled & I blew my budget with my MT. trip so it will have to wait.

Malapropism is my fiend.
I certainly understand how a trip can blow the budget! Whenever things settle down and the time is right for you to order a scarf just let me know.

I didn't know if you had heard of Etsy.com [link] already or not, but it's an excellent forum to sell handmade items! I joined as a member recently.

Yup, I am a member of Etsy! I have been working on getting some stock items made to list (remember the bags I showed you when we were at your place? I'm going to be listing those soon - I just need to have Robert take pictures for me because I can't find the charger for my digital camera!). I am hopeful I'll have luck there - one of my good friends here on dA hasn't had any luck with her shop yet so I'm a little nervous about the whole thing.
